Frequently Asked Questions

Most full certification courses run approximately 3-4 hours. The Blended Course allows you to complete the video portion at home, so the in-person hands-on session is shorter. Friends & Family sessions are typically 2-3 hours.
Both are nationally recognized certifications. AHA (American Heart Association) is the most widely recognized, especially in healthcare settings. ASHI (American Safety & Health Institute) is equally valid and widely accepted by employers. Both certifications are valid for 2 years.
Yes! All students who complete a certified course receive their certification card on the same day. The Friends & Family course does not include a certification card.
Absolutely! Marcela brings all the equipment — manikins, AED trainers, and supplies — directly to your location. This is perfect for businesses, schools, churches, and community groups. Group discounts are available for larger parties.
Yes! Marcela is a fully bilingual instructor. She teaches complete courses in Spanish — not just translated materials, but full instruction, demonstrations, and coaching in Spanish. Bilingual classes (English and Spanish together) are also available.
Just yourself and comfortable clothing — you'll be kneeling on the floor during practice. Marcela provides all manikins, AED trainers, and training materials. For the Blended Course, complete the online video portion before your scheduled hands-on session.
